Message For winters that are long & snowy...I would mount Blizaks on my original wheels.
Then, save up some cash and mount Pirelli P7000s on a set of aftermarket *bling*bling* rollers.
This way your car looks trick during the summer, and when the season is close to winter (mainly fall & spring) when it's really wet or light flurries of snow, you'll be safe with the P7000s.
When the weather goes full-blown-winter, switch to the Blizaks that will already be mounted & balanced.
But if you're strapped for cash, like I am, get the P7000s :)
